Copenaghen: la città del hygge style, della moda e del design.

La prima volta in un paese del nord. Copenaghen, in danese Købenavhn, mi ha conquistata perchè è una città giovane, all’avanguardia, dinamica e super hygge.

Per gli amanti dei luoghi romantici, dello shopping, del design e  delle atmosfere natalizie da sogno copenaghen non può che essere la scelta migliore di viaggio!

Non ha caso Lonely planet l’ha definita come la best capital 2019 e best capital of cool.

Sono sempre stata affascinata dal nord europa, e finalmente sono riuscita ad andarci, scegliendo come prima visita “del nord” la capitale danese.

Le giornate sembrano correre molto in fretta essendo le ore di luce nettamente inferiori a quelle del buio.  Infatti, in inverno a copenaghen il sole tramonta alle 16.00/16.30 del pomeriggio.

Il primo consiglio è dunque, di alzarsi presto e concentrare la maggior parte delle visite sicuramente al mattino, lasciando al pomeriggio le passeggiate nei negozi o qualche sosta rilassante nei vari locali per bere una bibita calda.  Oppure per inoltrarsi nel magico mondo di Tivoli, il parco divertimenti più antico di copenaghen, che la sera illuminandosi di tante luci e colori rende il tutto ancora più magico e affascinante.

Fa freddo! Anche se le temperature sembrano simili alle nostre, tira vento freddo in inverno, in estate le temperature invece sono sempre fresche. E poi il rischio di trovare pioggia c’è sempre ,quindi portatevi un ombrello in valigia oppure attrezzatevi con una giusta giacca.

Per visitare la città 3 giorni sono sufficienti per poter ammirare tutto e immergervi nella dolce e calda atmosfera che si respira. E’ abbastanza piccola e le maggiori e più interessanti attrazioni si trovano proprio in centro.

Quindi non consiglio di fare la copenaghen card cioè l’abbonamento alla metro, perchè gli unici spostamenti che farete se alloggerete in centro ,potrebbero essere per andare a Norrebro o Orestad nel caso lo vogliate, altri due quartieri di copenaghen.

In Danimarca si usano le corone danesi, il consiglio è di cambiare i soldi prima di partire in qualsiasi banca di vostra filiale,  perchè le commissioni di cambio quando arrivate lì sono alte.

Un euro vale 7, 47 corone. Il singolo biglietto della metro costa circa 3 euro (22 dkr ), mentre da o per l’aeroporto 5 euro (37 dkr).

L’aeroporto è collegato con il treno che vi porta in 10 minuti in centro o ovunque abbiate prenotato l’hotel.

Noi abbiamo alloggiato al Go hotel, trovato su booking. Un hotel di design, economico, molto pulito, con spazi comuni davvero confortevoli e in pieno stile e arredamento nordico.

Dotato di servizi come noleggio accessori di viaggio, possibilità di colazione, e una macchinetta del caffè professionale, che troverete in tantissimi altri luoghi e shop in giro per la città. Infatti il caffè viene prodotto da queste macchine del caffè e devo dire che il gusto è molto buono.

Questo hotel è inoltre  a 250 metri a piedi dalla stazione dei treni quindi super comodo per raggiungere il centro. Vicino c’era anche un supermercato e alcuni bar.

Un soggiorno di 4 notti qui ci è costato circa 250 euro in due.

Quindi super consigliato !

Lo stile Hygge è lo stile di vita sano e improntato sul benessere a cui s’ispirano i danesi.

Creare atmosfere accoglienti e godersi il bello della vita con le persone care. Infatti in tutta la città troverete sempre locali super curati, super accoglienti, tavolini all’aperto anche in inverno, illuminati da candele , lanterne e sulle sedie calde coperte pronte ad avvolgervi tra una chiacchera e l’altra e un bicchiere di vino….

I danesi sembrano non sentire il freddo, infatti il loro principale mezzo di trasporto e proprio la bici, con cui si spostano da una zona all’altra sfrecciando veloci e sicuri, grazie alla ricca e ben strutturata pista ciclabile che attraversa ogni angolo e via della città.

E guai a intralciare il loro passaggio sia in bici ,se volete provare l’esperienza, o a piedi. Dovete sapere che i danesi ci tengono moltissimo  che ognuno rispetti la propria corsia…

Quello che in oltre mi ha colpito, è il numero di locali con cucina vegetariana e vagana che si possono trovare in giro per al città. La cucina sana fa parte del loro regime alimentare e ci tengono tantissimo a curarla nei minimi dettagli. Una cucina attenta, con menu innovativi in locali che dettano tendenza in fatto di design. Mercati coperti e street food all’aperto permettono di fare viaggi culinari, assaporando nuove ricette e nuovi mix di gusti.

I loro principali piatti sono a base di verdure, accompagnati da panificati composti da farine nere,  come quelle integrali, di segale, e di farro  mixate a semi vari come semi di zucca e semi di girasole. Il pesce poi ovviamente è un altro ingrediente fondamentale nella loro alimentazione, accompagnato quasi sempre da salsine deliziose e ricercate.

 

Credo sia una città con un’ efficienza di servizi non paragonabile a nessun’altra città europea. Quello che ti stupisce è la velocità, l’efficienza, l’organizzazione e la puntualità dei servizi pubblici e delle persone che ci lavorano, a partire dai trasporti pubblici, aeroporto ecc,..

 

Essendo un luogo molto turistico e internazionale, tutti parlano inglese dal commesso al ragazzo per strada..

 

VEDIAMO LE ATTRAZIONI E LE VIE PIU’IMPORANTI DELLA CAPITALE DANESE…

Dalla stazione centrale il centro città e le maggiori attrazioni della città sono tutte a portata di mano a due minuti a piedi. Ad iniziare dal Tivoli, alle Axel tower, , il pallads, la rudhuspladsen, e la stroget. Da li si prosegue per Nyhavn e le altre attrazioni.

 

Il tivoli uno dei parchi a tema più visitati al Mondo!

Il parco che fa divertire grandi e piccini fin dalla sua apertura, nel lontano 1843 con le sue aperture stagionali, proprio in centro città.

In Estate, il Parco Tivoli è aperto, tutti i giorni, compresi domenica e festivi, dalla prima settimana di Aprile, fino a Settembre inoltrato.
Dalla Domenica al Giovedì, è aperto dalle 11:00 alle 23:00. Venerdì e sabato, chiusura a mezzanotte.
Durante il periodo di Halloween, il Parco apre dal 11 Ottobre fino al 03 Novembre.
In inverno, in occasione del Natale, da metà Novembre al 05 Gennaio.

 

Adiacente al Tivoli, 5 tondeggianti torri compongono l’Axel Tower, un edificio che al suo interno ospita uffici, negozi e un parcheggio sotterraneo. Molto bello da fotografare per la sua architettura particolare.

 

A pochi passi, Il palads invece è il più antico cinema di Copenaghen..con la sua facciata rosa e tocchi di blu e verde è uno dei luoghi più instagrammabili della città..

 

La Radhuspladsen, ossia la Piazza del Municipio, è il cuore di Copenaghen, la parte più centrale da cui iniziare il proprio tour. Alle spalle si trova il Tivoli e ancora dietro, la stazione centrale dei treni.

Questa piazza è uno dei punti d’incontro più vivaci della città, pieno di locali. Al centro della piazza, la statua di Andersen- l’autore della sirenetta e di altre famosissime fiabe- rivolta verso l’entrata del parco divertimenti Tivoli,

ed il neorinascimentale palazzo del Municipio.

Da qui parte inoltre la Strøget, una strada lunga  circa 2 km dedicata allo shopping, dove si concentrano ristoranti chic, caffè raffinati, boutique vintage, alta moda ma anche brand più accessibili, atelier di design, scintillanti centri commerciali, come l’Illum, negozi di porcellana e di cristalli, come il Royal Copenaghen, o poi ovviamente negozi di prodotti locali e brands, marchi danesi. Qui troverete lo store di Lego, Tiger, Sostrene green e molti altri..

 

Ma è girando nelle vie della lunga strøget perdendosi un pò che si incrociano le vie più belle e interessanti del quartiere Indre By, la parte più centrale della città . Si chiama appunto così il quartiere che circonda la strøget e dove troverete case coloratissime, caffè, ristoranti, biblioteche, negozi di brand danesi e non solo, oltre negozi di design e più ricercati

 

 

Un’altra attrazione da non perdere proprio in questo quartie è la torre rotonda La Rundetaarn. Una torre circolare dove si sale fino in cima per ammirare lo splendido panorama su tutta la città. All’ultimo piano anche un antichissimo osservatorio astronomico. L’ingresso costa 25 dkr, 3 euro circa…

 

Alla fine della Stroget si raggiunge la piazza Kongens Nytorv la piazza del re. Dove è presente la metro, le Magazin du nord altro importante centro commerciale di copenaghen, tipo rinascente o galaries lafayette.

E dove si prosegue infondo a destra dalla stroget per il quartiere di Nyhavn il porto antico di Copenaghen.

Nyhavn è l’attrazione più particolare e romantica di copenaghen. Un susseguirsi di casette colorate in stile nordico allineate a ridosso del canale, con antiche navi che fiancheggiano e fanno da cornice, un quadretto davvero unico al mondo! La caratteristica di nyhavn sono anche i suoi bar e locali che costeggiano il canale in vero stile hygge. A natale inoltre vengono appese fantastiche decorazioni e vengono allestite le casette di legno tipiche natalizie che proseguono fino alla piazza del re.

 

La biblioteca Nazionale o Black Diamonds è un edificio molto particolare che unisce vecchio e nuovo.Da non perdere assolutamente a copenaghen! Da una parte una libreria antica dall’altra una parte ultra moderna dove si organizzano eventi di vario genere, un bar e una vista pazzesca dall’alto. L’ingresso è gratuito.

 

Palazzo di Amalienborg è un complesso rococò , costruito a fine 1700 dal re federico V.costantemente sorvegliato dalla guardai del corpo reale. Ogni giorno avviene il cambio della guardia alle 12 se la regina è in loco.

Sempre da queste parti non perderete il Designmuseum  che vi permetterà di scoprire la storia del design danese, e non solo arredamento ed oggettistica, ma anche moda, arti visive e performance.

Proseguendo si arriva ad uno dei simboli “cult” della capitale danese. La famosa statua della sirenetta di Andersen

La sirenetta è la fiaba conosciuta in tutto il mondo, soprattutto in Danimarca, ed è una delle opere di Andersen più amate.

 

Kastellet, si trova nei dintorni della sirenetta, ed è una fortificazione militare risalente al XVII secolo. E’ a pianta pentagonale, o a stella, ed e’ circondata dall’acqua.

All’interno di quest’area c’è anche un mulino a vento.

L’ingresso e’ gratuito.

 

Un luogo dove fermarsi e fare una sosta per assaggiare i famosi smørrebrod, e altre tipicità danesi è senz’altro il Tovehallerne, un mercato coperto dove acquistare prodotti e fermarsi per una sosta. Al suo interno anche tanti stand di cucina internazionale.

 

Ma non è l’unico luogo dove andare infatti per mangiare dello street food ricordatevi questo nome : Papirøen poco distante dal quartiere Nyhavn. Io purtroppo lo trovato chiuso e in fase di completa ristrutturazione..

Vesterbro, ovvero il quartiere più di moda di Copenaghen. Negozi vintage d’abbigliamento hipster, ristoranti dal design moderno e la Street Art hanno resa famosa negli ultimi anni questa zona.  Una volta un quartiere  a luci rosse che nel corso degli anni, ha iniziato a cambiare, diventando uno dei luoghi più caratteristici.

Nel quartiere di Vesterbro percorrete Istedgade e i suoi dintorni, la famosa zona del quartiere rosso di Copenaghen, con la sua atmosfera alternativa. Nelle vicinanze Kødbyen, frequentato dai giovani, soprattutto per i suoi locali moderni dove cenare e bere con amici.

 

Poi c’è Norrebro, il quartiere multiculturale di copenaghen, un paradiso per gli amanti delle foto e della street art.

Una zona spesso difficile, è stata riqualificata, creando degli spazi comuni che uniscano le diverse etnie.

I progettisti hanno infatti chiesto direttamente alla popolazione locale, suddivisa in più di 50 etnie differenti, di suggerire oggetti, stili ed elementi artistici utili all’arredo urbano che avrebbero voluto vedere in modo tale che ciascuna etnia fosse rappresentata. E così è stato creato Superliken uno spazio urbano diviso in tre zone.

La Piazza Rossa, bellissima e moderna, teatro della vita urbana del quartiere grazie alla presenza di caffè e zone per lo sport e la musica; il Parco Verde, per il passeggio e i picnic. La piazza Nera è identificata dal tono scuro della pavimentazione e dalla presenza di livelli deformati della superficie, ricordando cosi le dune sabbiose de deserto. Questo ambiente della piazza è infatti dedicato all’Oriente con la presenza di fontane marocchine e richiami alla cultura turca con panche e sedute. Puntualmente sono stati inseriti ciliegi giapponesi così che durante il periodo di fioritura adatto possano colorare lo spazio altrimenti totalmente nero.

E poi segnatevi questa via…Jægersborggade street, qui negozi di design, gallerie d’arte, wine bars e coffee shops, così come negozi di prodotti organici, vestiti vintage, ceramiche e tanto altro

 

 

 

Un altro quartiere da visitare è quello della Città Libera di Christiania​. In questa zona verde del quartiere di Christianshavn vivono circa 1.000 persone, in uno status semi-legale come comunità indipendente dall’Unione Europea. Di origene hippy, questa città libera negli anni ha causato molti problemi alle autorità locali, soprattutto per il traffico di droga. Attualmente Christiania è una delle comunità hippy più visitate d’Europa, con la sua meravigliosa street art,  l’unico consiglio è di non abusare del telefono perchè agli abitanti del luogo da fastidio essere fotografati.

 

Come non perdere proprio qui uno dei giganti di legno…

Dovete sapere infatti che sono i 6 giganti di legno nascosti nei dintorni Copenaghen. Sappiate che, come in una vera e propria caccia al tesoro, l’unico modo per trovarli è individuare un’incisione posta nei paraggi di ognuno di essi, su cui ci potrà vedere una mappa o una poesia con dei suggerimenti che vi porteranno nei luoghi dove l’artista danese Thomas Dambo li ha posizionati.

 

Ørestad è invece una zona relativamente nuova della città, costruita sull’isola di Amager

L’area è stata sviluppata utilizzando il nuovo “town concept” del Copenaghen Metro come rete principale di trasporto pubblico che collega la zona con il resto della metropolitana di Copenaghen. La parte centrale di Ørestad, Orestad City, si trova 4,5 km a ovest di Copenaghen Kastrup Airport e 5 km a sud di Copenaghen centro città. L’area è dominata dal più grande centro commerciale di tutta la Scandinavia: il Field’s.

Qui, inoltre gli architetti, e studenti,  stanno creando alcuni dei progetti più futuristici a livello architettonico. Un’urbanizzazione in continua evoluzione che crea edifici incredibili… Se siete appassionati d’architettura e avete voglia di shopping allora fate una sosta anche qui…

COPENHAGEN: THE CITY OF HYGGE STYLE, FASHION AND DESIGN.

First time in a northern country. Copenhagen, in Danish Købenavhn, won me over because it is a young, avant-garde, dynamic and super hygge city.

For lovers of romantic places, shopping, design and the dreamlike Christmas atmosphere of Copenhagen can only be the best travel choice!

It has no case Lonely planet has defined it as the best capital 2019 and best capital of cool.

I have always been fascinated by northern Europe, and finally I managed to go there, choosing the Danish capital as the first “northern” visit.

The days seem to run very fast as the hours of light are clearly lower than those of the dark. In fact, in winter in Copenhagen the sun sets at 4.00pm / 4.30pm.

The first suggestion is therefore to get up early and concentrate most of the visits for sure in the morning, leaving in the afternoon walks in the shops or some relaxing stops in the various places to drink a hot drink. Or to venture into the magical world of Tivoli, the oldest amusement park in Copenhagen, which in the evening light up with so many lights and colors makes it even more magical and fascinating.

It’s cold! Even if the temperatures seem similar to ours, cold wind blows in winter, while in summer the temperatures are always fresh. And there is always the risk of finding rain, so bring an umbrella in your suitcase or equip yourself with a right jacket.

To visit the city 3 days are enough to admire everything and immerse yourself in the sweet and warm atmosphere that you breathe. It is quite small and the biggest and most interesting attractions are right in the center.

So I do not recommend making the copenaghen card, that is, the metro pass, because the only movements you will make if you stay in the center, could be to go to Norrebro or Orestad if you want it, two other districts of Copenhagen.

In Denmark the Danish crowns are used, the advice is to change the money before leaving at any bank of your branch, because the exchange commissions when you arrive there are high.

One euro is worth 7, 47 crowns. The single metro ticket costs about 3 euros (22 dkr), while from or to the airport 5 euros (37 dkr).

The airport is connected by train which takes you to the center in 10 minutes or wherever you have booked the hotel.

We stayed at the Go hotel, found on booking. A design hotel, cheap, very clean, with very comfortable common areas in full style and Nordic furniture.

Equipped with services such as travel accessories, breakfast, and a professional coffee machine, which you will find in many other places and shops around the city. In fact, coffee is produced by these coffee machines and I must say that the taste is very good.

This hotel is also 250 meters walk from the train station so super convenient to reach the center. Nearby there was also a supermarket and some bars.

A 4-night stay here cost us around 250 euros in two.

So super recommended!

The Hygge style is a healthy lifestyle based on the wellbeing of the Danes.

Create welcoming atmospheres and enjoy the beauty of life with loved ones. In fact, throughout the city you will always find super-well-kept, super-comfortable rooms, outdoor tables even in winter, lit by candles, lanterns and on warm covered chairs ready to wrap you between a chat and the other and a glass of wine….

The Danes do not seem to feel the cold, in fact their main means of transport and just the bike, with which they move from one area to another by speeding fast and safe, thanks to the rich and well-structured bike path that crosses every corner and way of the city.

And woe to hinder their passage either by bike, if you want to try the experience, or on foot. You need to know that the Danes are very keen that everyone respects their own lane …

What struck me the most was the number of places with vegetarian and vegan cuisine that can be found around the city. Healthy cooking is part of their diet and they really care about it in great detail. A careful kitchen, with innovative menus in places that set trends in terms of design. Covered markets and outdoor street food allow you to make culinary trips, savoring new recipes and new mixes of tastes.

Their main dishes are based on vegetables, accompanied by breads made of black flour, such as wholemeal, rye, and spelled mixed with various seeds such as pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Then, of course, fish is another essential ingredient in their diet, almost always accompanied by delicious and refined sauces.

I believe it is a city with a service efficiency not comparable to any other European city. What amazes you is the speed, efficiency, organization and punctuality of public services and the people who work there, starting from public transport, airport, etc., ..

Being a very touristic and international place, everyone speaks English from the salesman to the boy on the street ..

WE SEE THE ATTRACTIONS AND THE MOST IMPORTANT IMPORTS OF THE DANISH CAPITAL …

From the central station the city center and the major attractions of the city are all within reach at a two-minute walk. Starting from Tivoli, to the Axel tower,, the pallads, the rudhuspladsen, and the stroget.From there continue to Nyhavn and other attractions.

Tivoli is one of the most visited theme parks in the world!

The park that entertains children and adults since its opening, back in 1843 with its seasonal openings, right in the city center.

In Summer, the Tivoli Park is open, every day, including Sundays and holidays, from the first week of April, until late September.
From Sunday to Thursday, it is open from 11:00 to 23:00. Friday and Saturday, closing at midnight.
During the Halloween period, the Park opens from October 11th until November 3rd.
In winter, on the occasion of Christmas, from mid-November to 05 January.

Adjacent to the Tivoli, 5 rounded towers make up the Axel Tower , a building that houses offices, shops and an underground car park. Very nice to photograph for its particular architecture.

A few steps away, the palads is instead the oldest cinema in Copenhagen .. with its pink facade and touches of blue and green it is one of the most instagrammable places in the city ..

The Radhuspladsen , or Town Hall Square, is the heart of Copenhagen, the most central part from which to start your tour. Behind is the Tivoli and still behind, the central train station.

This square is one of the most lively meeting points in the city, full of clubs. At the center of the square, the statue of Andersen- the author of the little mermaid and of other very famous fairy tales – facing the entrance of the Tivoli amusement park,

and the neo-Renaissance town hall building .

From here also the Strøget , a road about 2 km long dedicated to shopping, where chic restaurants, refined cafes, vintage boutiques, high fashion but also more accessible brands, design ateliers, glittering shopping malls, such as the Illum, are concentrated porcelain and crystal shops, such as the Royal Copenhagen, or of course shops selling local products and brands, Danish brands. Here you will find the Lego store, Tiger, Sostrene green and many others ..

But it is turning in the streets of the long strøget getting lost a little that crosses the most beautiful and interesting streets of the Indre By neighborhood, the most central part of the city. This is the name of the neighborhood that surrounds the strøget and where you will find colorful houses, cafes, restaurants, libraries, Danish brand stores and more, as well as designer and more sophisticated shops

Another attraction not to be missed in this quarter is the La Rundetaarn round tower. A circular tower where you climb to the top to admire the splendid panorama over the whole city. On the top floor there is also an ancient astronomical observatory. Admission costs 25 dkr, 3 euros approximately …

At the end of the Stroget you reach the square Kongens Nytorv the king’s square. Where there is the metro, the Magazin du nord, another important commercial center of Copenhagen, a renaissance type or galaries lafayette.

And where we continue to the right by the stroget to the Nyhavn district, the ancient port of Copenhagen.

Nyhavn is the most special and romantic attraction of Copenhagen. A succession of colorful Nordic-style houses lined up against the canal, with ancient ships flanking and framing, a truly unique picture in the world! The characteristic of nyhavn are also its bars and clubs that line the canal in true hygge style.Furthermore, at Christmas, fantastic decorations are hung and the typical Christmas wooden houses are set up and continue to the king’s square.

The National library or Black Diamonds is a very special building that combines old and new. Absolutely not to be missed in Copenhagen! On the one hand an antique bookcase on the other an ultra modern part where various events are organized, a bar and a crazy view from above. Admission is free.

Amalienborg Palace is a rococo complex, built at the end of the 1700s by the king federico V. constantly guarded by the guard of the royal body. Every day there is a changing of the guard at 12 if the queen is on site.

Also in these parts you will not miss the Design Museum which will allow you to discover the history of Danish design, and not just furniture and objects, but also fashion, visual arts and performance.

Continuing we arrive at one of the “cult” symbols of the Danish capital. The famous statue of Andersen’s mermaid

The little mermaid is the fairy tale known all over the world, especially in Denmark, and is one of the most loved Andersen’s works.

Kastellet, located near the mermaid, is a military fortification dating back to the 17th century. It has a pentagonal plant, or star, and is surrounded by water.

Within this area there is also a windmill.

Admission is free.

A place to stop and take a break to taste the famous smørrebrod, and other Danish specialties is undoubtedly the Tovehallerne, a covered market where you can buy products and stop for a break. Inside there are also many stands of international cuisine.

But this is not the only place to go to eat street food, remember this name: Papirøen not far from the Nyhavn district. I unfortunately found it closed and undergoing a complete renovation ..

Vesterbro, or the most fashionable district of Copenhagen. Vintage hipster clothing stores, modern design restaurants and street art have made this area famous in recent years. Once a red light district that over the years has begun to change, becoming one of the most characteristic places.
